Summer Teen Volunteer Program Assistant
Summer Teen Volunteer Program Assistant duties include providing daily supervision and training of teen volunteers; making and revising schedules; checking on teen volunteers throughout the day to make sure they are on task and keeping up with schedule changes; informing the Manager of Volunteer Services of conflicts and problems; providing office support; and assisting in the planning and implementation of the end-of-the-summer Teen Volunteer Camp-In.

Summer Camp Counselor (up to 25 hours per week)
Summer Camp Counselor duties include providing daily supervision of groups of campers, leading activities and assisting Educators with programs and with camp logistics. Other responsibilities will include assisting with before/after care and lunch supervision; taking shifts at the High Cycle and at the Shark and Ray Touch Tank; and assisting “on the floor” with informal public presentations, demonstrations and exhibit interpretation.

Summer Educators are responsible for presenting and demonstrating inquiry-based science programs to campers during summer months. Duties include taking the lead role in the instruction of summer camps for ages 4K – 9th grade by providing appropriate grade level programming, classroom management and instruction. Other responsibilities will include assisting with before/after care and lunch supervision, taking shifts at the High Cycle and at the Shark and Ray Touch Tank and assisting “on the floor” with informal public presentations, demonstrations and exhibit interpretation.
