McWane Science Center and the Alabama Symphony Orchestra present an enchanted evening full of captivating music and courageous adventure! Campers meet at Caldwell Park for an Alabama Symphony Orchestra concert and then head to McWane Science Center to learn the science behind Hogwarts School and the secrets of magic!

Top 10-Credible New Things To-Do This Summer
The Fun Begins May 24, 2008
McWane Science Center started as a dream 10 years ago. It has become a reality through the support of a community determined to build a better Birmingham for their children's future.
In celebration of 10 incredible years, McWane Science Center would like to invite you to our birthday.
All summer-long we will roll out new and smart exhibits, IMAX® films and programs. Everyone will enjoy meeting the jellyfish, exploring the Grand Canyon, testing a race car, playing in the Itty Bitty Magic City, racing a dinosaur and much, much more... including a birthday party every Saturday!
1. It’s a party all summer long with free Birthday Cake every Saturday at 10 a.m. and THE ULTIMATE BIRTHDAY BASH on July 12, 2008.
2. Discover all that you can be in the Itty Bitty Magic City – our newest exhibit for preschoolers.
3. Visit with the only Alabama Tyrannosaur on exhibit in the world.
4. Meet our aquarium’s newest family member – jiggly jellyfish.
5. Build your own race car and challenge your friends to a drag race.
6. See Everest on Saturdays and Sundays – the first record breaking film ever shown in the John W. Woods IMAX Theater.
7. Pedal for your life as you race from a dinosaur inside the new, Alabama Dinosaurs exhibit.
8. Float down the Grand Canyon in IMAX.
9. Meet MAC the robot and participate in other new, live science shows all summer long.
10. Take a spin on the craziest, most colorful, interactive dance floor in town.
