Brain Awareness Week

Brain Awareness Week is a worldwide celebration of the brain that brings together scientists, families, schools, and communities. It is held March 30th – April 3rd at the McWane Science Center. Come McWane Your Brain and explore your grey matter! Activities include a brain dissection and explorations of your five senses. Special programs will be held throughout the week including Illusion Confusion, Robo-roach and dissections of sheep brains and cow eyes.

Weekly schedule:

10am – Sheep Brain Dissection – in GENEius Lab

11:30am – Brain Waves – at Demonstration Station

12:00pm – Illusion Confusion – in Rushton Theater

1:00pm – Cow Eye Dissection – in GENEius Lab

2:00pm – Protect Your Brain – at Demonstration Station

3:00pm – Backyard Brains, Noisy Neurons – in GENEius Lab
